To publish to Instagram or Facebook, you must have a Facebook Page, or an Instagram Creator or Business Account that is linked to a Facebook Page.

You can authorize the platform to publish to those accounts on your behalf, either from the New Post screen or the Settings > External Accounts screen.

Click Connect an Account to launch a dialogue window to connect a new external account. Then, select "Instagram" or "Facebook" from the platform dropdown. Click Authorize and a popup window will ask you to log into Facebook. Make sure to enable all requested permissions, and enable access to the Facebook Page that you want to publish to. For Instagram, enable access to the Facebook Page that's linked to the Instagram account you want.

When you are done with the Facebook authorization flow, the popup window should close automatically. Then click Next in the "Connect an Account" dialogue, and you should see a list of the Facebook Pages available. Select the one to publish to, and click Connect. Then when you create a post on the New Post screen, you should be able to select the linked account at the bottom of the screen.

Yes, Connections can see the name of the list they are added to, since it will be shown on the posts you share with them in the visibility field.

Connections cannot see all the names of lists you create; only the ones they are added to.

Make sure your Instagram account is an Instagram Creator or Business account, and that it is linked to a Facebook Page you manage. You can link your Instagram account to a Facebook Page in the Page Settings on Facebook.

Even when linking to Instagram, you'll need to log into your Facebook account in the authorization popup to select the linked Instagram account.

The Facebook APIs require the account to be an Instagram Creator or Business Account, or a Facebook Page. Unfortunately they do not allow the API to be used to publish to personal accounts.

There could have been a connection issue with the Facebook servers, or your authorization could have expired. Try re-authorizing the connection in the Settings > External Accounts screen, and try again.
